Our Red Schooling Flannel looks good on just about any color horse (except a chestnut!).

Cotton Flannel multi-layer construction is absorbent and also easy to wash and dry

The Schooling Flannel is constructed of layers of 100% cotton flannel sandwiched together. Concentric lines of topstitching ( approximately 3" apart ) which follow the shape of the saddle pad hold the layers together so that they won't shift. This cotton pad is absorbent and very easy to launder.

Use alone or under another saddle pad

Our Schooling Flannel can be used alone or under another
square pad ( or a gel or foam or a shaped pad kept under the saddle), and pulled after use to be washed. At least two of our Schooling Flannels can be washed together by machine.

Order without guides to use as a liner

If you're ordering Quilted Pads from us, our Schooling Flannel can be used under another square pad as a liner if you'd like. In that case, we can make the Flannel one size smaller than the top pad, and eliminate the girth guides.
Out of all our pads, this one is the most frequently chosen to be used as a liner; it's a bit thinner than our Cotton Fleece.

Nylon girth guides double-stitched onto pad

All of our Pads come w/girth guides double-stitched onto the bottom edge of the Pad. We don't sew on billet straps
( higher up on the pad ) unless you want them too. If you need Velcro Billet straps ( Velcro is sewn onto nylon straps for $10 additional ), please specify when ordering.

Many of our customers use these pads on horses with very sensitive skin. For years veterinarians, trainers and saddlers have recommend these pads to riders who are looking for a thin pad that won't interfere with the way the saddle fits the horse's back. Pease take care to select a Size & Cut
that will best fit your saddle and horse's conformation. As with all of the pads we offer, you can order a Hi-Whither Cut or Regular Topline in any size square pad for your horse.

Fabric is extremely durable & does not pill

Our Schooling Flannels have been on the market for over 10 years now, and our customers inform us that many of their pads have been in use for almost the same length of time! Our fabric doesn't pill, and with some care, holds up to years of use and abuse'. Of course, we recommend you launder after each ride & follow our label's washing instructions.
